PVSolution

PV Overview

  • A method of generating electricity by converting sunlight into direct current.
  • Solar power uses solar panels with multiple solar cells attached. As demand for renewable energy increases, production of solar cells and solar arrays is also increasing.

Classification of Photovoltaic Systems

  • Hybrid systems

Combined with other energy sources such as wind and diesel power generation

  • Grid-connected

Used for housing, buildings and large-scale power generation systems in areas where KEPCO lines Introduction.

  • Standalone system

Used in lighthouse, relay station, artificial satellite, insular, mountains and remote areas etc.,

Composition of Photovoltaic Systems

1. Solar cells : Solar energy enters and generates an electric current
2. Junction box : A device that collects and delivers direct current(DC) generated by the module to the inverter
3. Inverter : A device that converts direct current(DC) produced in solar cells into alternating current(AC)
4. Battery : Equipment that stores electricity produced during the day for night use
5. Monitoring : Identify system operating state and diagnose failure and abnormality

Photovoltaic features

1. Energy sources are clean and unlimited
2. Possible to generate required quantity in the place needed
3. Easy to maintain and unmanned
4. Long lifespan (more than 20 years)
